pursed lips are the key
breath, sincere lack of training
and an open door

wrap valves in your fist
swing arm toward the nearest face
repeat until done

finger a b flat
feel how the pearl key vibrates
yell “fire” and leave

trade for a comet
ride that flaming chariot
along the baseboards

forgive each person
as they return to their lives
just play taps slowly
